Note: For best encapsulation, the dimensions of the dosage form to be over-encapsulated should be less than both the length and the internal diameter of the body portion of the DBcaps capsule. While DBcaps can be custom formulated in a wide array of colors, five globally-accepted standard colors have been developed in order to streamline the color selection process. More importantly, Capsugel maintains a ready inventory of popular sizes of standard color DBcaps capsules, allowing you to more quickly respond to "rush" situations.

The five standard DBcaps capsule colors utilize colorants that are accepted in the European Union, Japan, and the United States. Note that for specific colorants, there are daily intake restrictions put in place by regulatory agencies, which should be considered if the clinical protocol requires dosing with multiple capsules on a daily basis.
