Key responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support brand-new IT solutions for the Advanced Synthesis team, driving innovation from research all the way through to production.

  • Develop groundbreaking software applications for Automation and Digitalization projects. You'll be at the forefront of crafting sophisticated data structures and platforms, seamlessly integrating data from various sources using advanced extraction tools or your own scripts.

  • Take full ownership of IT aspects in interdisciplinary projects. Solve complex IT requirements head-on, propose innovative IT solutions, and ensure they align with Lonza standards.

  • Be the go-to expert for IT consultancy. Champion digitalization initiatives and ensure they are in sync with Lonza’s overarching Digital & Data Strategy, making a significant impact on the company's digital transformation.

  • Oversee the delivery, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure. This includes provisioning Virtual Machines, Cloud solutions for High-Performance Computing, and other critical systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key requirements:

  • Proficiency in a diverse range of programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and more.

  • In-depth knowledge of various database technologies, with a preference for MS-SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage databases.

  • Hands-on experience with different operating systems including Linux and Windows, as well as VMWare. Your versatility will be key in running a robust IT infrastructure.

  • Expertise in cloud technologies and data hub architectures.

  • A deep understanding of architectural concepts, including system integration and scalability. Your insights will ensure our systems are both efficient and future-proof.

  • Strong GMP knowledge and familiarity with regulatory compliance in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing setting. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

  • Strong business insight and discernment. You'll make technology decisions that align with strategic business goals, driving both innovation and profitability.
