Nanotechnology Applications in Drug Delivery

This technical article focuses on drug-polymer nanoparticles, a class of nanostructures that has demonstrated utility for multiple drug-delivery applications and shown promise for oral bioavailability enhancement, topical ocular and topical dermal delivery, and intraarticular administration and retention. The manufacture and characterization of drug-polymer nanoparticles is described and several examples of in vivo results using this nanoparticle platform are presented.
