What is the difference between Coni-Snap® Sprinkle capsules and standard design capsules ?

The key difference is the design of the locking feature that holds the cap to the body of the capsule. Standard capsules have a very strong locking mechanism to ensure that the capsules stay closed prior to oral administration. Trying to open a standard capsule  requires sufficient grip strength and dexterity in a controlled fashion to avoid spilling/loss of the intended dose. By using a proprietary new capsule design, the locking force of Coni-Snap® Sprinkle capsules has been reduced by a factor of four in comparison to standard Coni-Snap® capsules. The benefit of the new design has been confirmed with a panel of patients and care givers - 80% of the participants of these international panels evaluated the new designed capsules as easier to open than a standard capsule.
