Mary Ellen Johnson, Product Manager
Mary Ellen Johnson is a Product Manager for Lonza’s Capsules and Health Ingredients business unit focusing on End-to-End Solutions and the OTC product portfolio. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from East Carolina University. Mary Ellen started with Capsugel as a Territory Sales Manager, marketing hard gelatin and specialty polymer capsules within the OTC industry. She specialized in working with high and mid-level OTC accounts to develop capsule focused projects within product development and R&D teams. From there she joined the marketing team focused on building the strategies and visions for the OTC capsule product lines.
Tyler White, Associate Director of Innovation and Product Development
Tyler White is the Associate Director of Innovation and Product Development for Lonza’s Capsules and Health Ingredients business unit. He has been in the nutritional space for over 12 years, working in product development roles on both the manufacturing and brand side of the business. While the majority of Tyler’s career has focused on developing novel applications in two-piece liquid filled capsules, he has launched products across nearly every format in the nutritional space, including tablets, bars, RTDs, softgels and various functional food formats.
Paul Davis, Sr. Technical Engineer
Paul Davis is a Sr. Technical Engineer for Lonza’s Capsules and Health Ingredient Business Unit, covering the West Coast and the Americas for the CFS® , LEMS® and Xcelodose® equipment lines. He has 32 years of experience working with capsule delivery systems in pharmaceutical and consumer health and nutrition manufacturing. Paul is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt. Today, he works on training and supporting all forms of capsule delivery, from development through manufacturing to end consumers.
Vaughn DuBow, Marketing Manager
Vaughn DuBow is the North American Marketing Manager at Lonza for their Hard Capsule, Ingredient, and Dosage Form Solutions portfolios. With over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement and fitness industries, Vaughn is a proven leader with an in-depth understanding of product development and marketing within the health and nutrition sectors. Vaughn’s background includes Alfasigma USA, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, Gaspari Nutrition, and iForce Nutrition, where he successfully managed product formulation, business development, and market research for core flagship brands.
Shelby Linville, Marketing Specialist
Shelby Linville is the Marketing Specialist for Lonza’s North American division of Capsules and Health Ingredients. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration: Marketing and Management, from Lander University’s AACSB accredited business school in South Carolina. Shelby brings three years of extensive marketing research, consumer insight and customer engagement expertise in the hard capsule, ingredient and dietary supplement nutrition category. Shelby is passionate about trend watching and data analysis and is always eager to relay the most current and actionable insights.
Matt Richardson, Business Development Manager
For more than 15 years, Matt has worked with many pharmaceutical and nutraceutical customers to understand the formulation and delivery aspects of their products with two-piece hard capsules. Matt has been an invited speaker at numerous seminars and webinars on topics of hard capsules, polymer science, gelatin crosslinking, capsules for use in delayed release, as well as DPI-based inhalation. He is a graduate of Wofford College, holds a doctorate in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Wake Forest University and a post-doctoral appointment at Virginia Tech. Prior to his work with Capsugel, Matt has worked in API Process Development as well as project management.
