This webinar describes the development of lipid-based formulations from early development through commercial manufacture. A novel Lipid Formulation Classification System, which is used to identify the critical performance characteristics of lipid systems for use in oral dosage forms, is presented. The system, which clearly delineates different formulation types, aids in excipient selection and speeds development of lipid-based formulations to optimize them before preclinical and clinical evaluation. Case studies are presented.
